Christoph Hesse holds a Master of Architecture from ETH Zurich (2004) and a Master of Architecture in Urban Design with Distinction from Harvard University Graduate School of Design (2007). He also pursued guest studies at MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning (2005).
In 2010, he was registered with the Chamber of Architecture of the State Hesse and founded Christoph Hesse Architects in Korbach, Germany, later expanding with a branch office in Berlin in 2018. Christoph Hesse was appointed to be member of the Association of German Architects BDA in 2019.
His academic contributions include teaching and research at ETH Zurich, Harvard University, UN-Habitat, TU Darmstadt, University of Kassel, and Cairo University, among others. He has also served as a visiting design critic at institutions such as Hong Kong University, Columbia University, Yale University, MIT, and Università della Svizzera italiana in Mendrisio. From 2020 to 2024, he was a visiting professor at Tsinghua University in Beijing and is currently teaching at Sapienza University of Rome.
